Its not college...its life...

I remember the very first day in the hostel room...got 3 new friends Shinu, Sooraj and Harish...they were my first buddies in the college, around my second year, it was then i realized that none are my friends, but my soul mates. Life at college is well described and perceived by everyone of us as something related to freedom.. but it was not so when I joined Amrita...Amrita was a bit strict in most of the cases but those strictness was needed for everyone of us to go in the right manner. I realized it only when the college got over.

For many of us, college was a place to study and for some of us, it was a place with so much of fun and friends. As I understood, friends are the greatest assets one can ever have!!! Trust me guys!!! Its true...

The class rooms, the Labs, the corridors, the auditorium, the marshy way to our college, the hostel all remain in our hearts as something fresh!!! Its always new to us...

Last minute preparation for the Exams, Accentuated English for soft skill training, Dashing clothes on tuesday and thursday, late night movies(both in hostel and theatres), late night chats and parties, fun before the exam, last day of the exam...ohhhh!!! no words to describe these moments of life...

People call it college life...I would prefer calling it just LIFE!!! Beautiful 4 years of my life!!!missing those days to the core.......

"Amritian 2009- Done a good job"

This was indeed a grand event. It was good that we all could meet each other. And I hope all those who came really enjoyed those moments togather. I hope all of you were missing your college days a lot. This really pricked my heart with a lot of memories, those which I will never be able to enjoy again. Thanks Amritian, for bringing atleast some of those wonderful days back.

Amritian has begun well. Now it is to keep up the spirits high and work togather to make it a very good one.

The only problem I felt was that Amma was missing... from all the banners, posters and even website.. Its is so sad. Still, her grace is always with all lof us, which is more important.

Thanks a lot.

Hey Everyone..

The other day one of my friends called me up and asked me to write
anything about anything i want in this blog.. Well i thought about it
and decided to write about my experience at college..

Well first of all college wouldn't have been the same without the
wonderful friends i had.. I'd say i had to most wonderful four and a
half years in my life at Amrita.. The experience was unbelievable..
There were a lot of ups and even more downs throughout.. But i got
through and mainly it was because of the support and help of the
friends around me.. I'd say the most fun i had were the onam
celebrations, the amrita kalotsavams, the basketball tournaments and
loads more.. Whether it was victory or defeat, good or bad, fun or
boredom, happiness or anger, likes or dislikes, all that mattered were
the feelings of togetherness, love and support whatever be the
situation.. Whatever be the task we would always succeed.. The way we
stood up for each other and positively worked with each other to
achieve something was more than one could ever expect..

I still remember each and every onam celebration we had.. We would get
flowers and do the best design we could think of together.. In the end
even if the result was otherwise, we would still have a blast in the
end..

The amrita kalotsavam was always about competition.. We always tried
our best whether it be singing or dancing, mimes or spoofs, tableuas
or dramas, in the end we always appreciated the result as we knew that
we got what we deserved for our hard work.. I still remember the last
day of the kalotsavam, even after everything was over, that feeling of
enjoyment and the spirit we had to dance with the music we played from
a car even after the tiresome three whole days.. Now that was fun..

I'd say that most of our classes weren't so much as fun.. But we made
it always made it lively with some mischief in the back benches..
Those were the times..

I had always wondered why everyone was so hyped up about examinations
and stuff.. But now when i think about it.. If you guys hadn't studied
and forced me to sit and study and even taught me, well i don't think
i'd have got through.. :-).

I still think about the times we had in the hostel.. Oh boy.. Counter
strike mania.. Now that was awesome.. Then ofcourse there were the
group songs in the bathroom, carroms, cinema theatres in the hostel,
the fire crackers now and then, the water fights, room cricket, the
songs we cooked up previous day of the exam, cooking, and lots more
that i can't think of. That was a once in a lifetime experience..

But then everything must come to an end.. The last walk down from our
rooms to the entrance was just unbearable..

To think we spend the best four and a half years of our lifes in a
small village of kollam. Now who would have thought that would
happen..

Well there's only one more thing i'd like to say.. I hope and still
want all those memories that we had to stay alive throughout our
lives.. I hope that we will all stay like this for good.. Our lives
will change for the better or the worse.. But i hope we don't hesitate
to pick up the phone and call up anyone and be just like we were
before.. Love you all.. Yours..

RjF.. :-)
